Tetsuro, an aging carpenter, finds a young man unconscious by a riverside. After taking the stranger home and nurseing him back to health, the young man introduces himself as “Shinichi.” Tetsuro takes him on as an apprentice at his carpentry shop, where the other workers genuinely welcome Shinichi. However, Shinichi has a secret past which makes him hide his real name and Tetsuro also has a traumatic past that he cannot get over with.
